A day with Daniel Rainey - dedicated to Online Dispute Resolution Sao Paulo November 6th

Monday, 6th November 2018

A day that will address the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) in a broad debate on access to justice nowadays. A sharing space that will present the latest studies and the development of applications at international level.

• ODR and access to justice

• ODR and application areas

• ODR and law firms

• From face to face Online Dispute Resolution

In this first initiative the organization – CONIMA and ICFML - propose an understanding of the role of communication and information technologies (ICT) in the development of the Dispute Resolution process, as well as the discovery of how a specific topic can find in ICT its preferred form of resolution.

What are the decision vectors? What are the parties' motivations for using an online process? What role should the platform and the Mediator play?

There will also be different approaches to advocating with ODR.

How to manage these changes? What happens internationally at this level?

Ana Maria Gonçalves and Daniel Rainey will speak about a work they have jointly held as co-chair of the ODR task force and where, with experts from all over the world, they have designed the skills of Mediator Online.

What are these skills? How can they be learned? How can we develop professionally to achieve the same level of competence using ICT that exist today in the face to face world?

What exists today in the current world of options for Online Mediation activity?

These and many other questions will be answered in an atmosphere of direct contact with the public and where your participation will play a key role in the conduct of the session.

Fernanda Levy and Ana Maria Maia Gonçalves will in each panel assure that your questions will be answered!

Brasilian experts have already confirmed their presence in the panels: Andrea Maia, Daniel Arbix, Desembargadora Daldice Santana, Natália Mazzoneto, Juliana Loss, Ana Luiza Isoldi.
